Technologies Sector Growth
one clear voice
Digital Alberta is a community that provides resources to support the growth of the creative technologies sector. Members enjoy numerous benefits such as business development opportunities, information on grants and funding, talent development, and advocacy. With the interactive digital media sector in this province evolving, our members are developing world-class intellectual property, creating jobs, and attracting global investment and because of this growth and the need to have on clear voice in the province – in 2022, Alberta Innovates made a strategic investment in Digital Alberta to enhance its programming and further support this mandate. This investment and support of our mandate has allowed us to expand the high caliber programming we deliver to the community. Our core values, mission, and vision are the guiding principles behind the work we do.Â
our values
Our corporate values are what guide us in everything we do. They are the foundation of our business and the driving force behind our decisions. At the heart of our values is a commitment to integrity, which means that we always strive to do the right thing, even when it's not the easiest or most popular choice. We also prioritize collaboration, recognizing that we are stronger and more effective when we work together. Another key value is innovation, as we are always looking for new and better ways to serve our stakeholders and improve our programming. Finally, we are dedicated to diversity and inclusion, recognizing that our differences make us stronger and more resilient as a company. By living these values every day, we are able to create a culture that fosters growth, innovation, and success for all.
Creative
We possess an intense curiosity and pursue novel ways of solving problems. We push boundaries and harness our collective imaginations to create meaningful experiences and connections for our community.
collaborative
We engage diverse organizations to partner with for the benefit of our members and the ecosystem. We are intentionally inclusive and seek ways to make our community welcoming and accessible.
Tenacity
We are empowered to act and biased towards execution. We embrace an open mind to redefine the possible. We are not afraid to question the status quo.
Growth
We embody an abundance mindset and are relentlessly adding value to our community.

We acknowledge that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many peoples, presently subject to Treaties 6, 7, and 8. Namely: the Blackfoot Confederacy – Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika – the Cree, Dene, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, Stoney Nakoda, and the Tsuu T’ina Nation and the Métis People of Alberta. This includes the Métis Settlements and the Six Regions of the Métis Nation of Alberta within the historical Northwest Metis Homeland. We acknowledge the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
